Task 18: Essay time to complete task - 3 hours
Essay must be typed and submitted using Google Docs, unless you receive other instructions. You MUST DOUBLE-SPACE AND LEFT-JUSTIFY
YOUR PAPER. You must complete the rubric handout and turn it in to have your essay graded. Essay must be at least 400 words and include
examples from the book. Please note that the grading of your essay may take 24 hours or more. You may use the link from the
Writing the Augmentative/Persuasive Essay for a complete understanding of what is involved in writing an argument essay.

Many contemporary songs are inspired by literature and share common ideas and themes. Pick a song or songs from the list below, which
share common ideas or themes from Julius Caesar. Write 1 ABC paragraph explaining how the Julius Caesar and your selected song share a

Read Mockingjay. Write a 200 word (minimum) essay or multimedia project with presentation.
Identify and discuss how betrayal plays an important part in the story, Mockingjay, and the play, Julius Caesar.
Was betrayal justified in either story?

Task 24: Projects time to complete task - 6 hours
Presentation 1: Prepare a presentation in which you discuss the themes from Julius Caesar across literature, film, art, and music.
Presentation 2: Create a multimedia exhibit on some aspect of Julius Caesar’s life and career. You might wish to focus on his military
exploits, the calendar he introduced, his political reforms, the conspiracy to murder him, or daily life in Rome during his
rule. Include photographs, maps, time lines, or other visual media in your exhibit.

- Is Caesar a tyrant or a victim, a benevolent king or an oppressive dictator? Did he deserve his death? Was it just or unjust? Necessary or not?
- Was Antony a loyal friend to Caesar or an opportunistic politician, a clever strategist or a lying power-monger?
